Calen Campbell
Mentor Coordinator
Calen grew up in Hoover, AL. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in History from Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO) where he played on the football team. With his upbringing and experiences, combined with love for history, the Lord has cultivated a passion in him for racial reconciliation and bridge building among diverse communities through the Gospel.
Calen loves Birmingham and despite its brokenness, the Lord has opened his eyes to see the great potential in this city. He sees the Aspire Movement as a catalyst of reconciliation by uniting mentors and students from diverse backgrounds, for Gospel-centered, mutually transforming relationships. He hopes to see deep, transformative community that is cultivated through these life-on-life mentoring relationships.
He is a member of Tapestry Church where he serves as Youth Minister. In his free time he enjoys reading, relaxing, hanging with friends and family, and exercising.
His favorite verse is Romans 8:28. A reminder that God uses everything, even the bad, for the good of those who love Him. Nothing is wasted with God!
