Life-on-Life mentoring discipleship is our primary focus for reaching urban youth. We match godly men and women with 4th or 5th grade students to make a commitment to walk alongside of them building a long term relationship that is mutually transforming.
Our mentors typically spend on average 5 hours a month with their student. We ask our mentors to meet at least two times a month with the student in a variety of contexts.
Life-on-Life mentoring takes place everywhere and most times is done simply getting to know one another. It can happen in school at lunch or an enrichment period, shooting hoops in the student's neighborhood at the local park, at the mentor's home for dinner or a weekend event, or a planned ministry function facilitated by Aspire.
